Burgess Paints
Burgess Paints is a working farm located in North Central Kansas near Lebanon, owned and operated by Val & Doti Burgess. We have been raising Paint and Quarter Horses for 15+ years and have developed our program to include both pleasure and working horses. We believe in the importance of both dam and sire, and are most proud of the quiet dispositions of the horses we raise. Our goal is to produce show quality athletes that could also be used for a family or trail horse. Many of our horses go on to be youth and amatuer mounts.
Burgess Paints stands two stallions. "Even Dirty" (sired by APHA Champion Dirty Sonny and a half brother to leading sire "Dirty Rocki") has already proven himself with his offspring often seen in APHA and PtHA shows. His get are super all-around prospects. "Double Delta Olena" has earned the title of Pinto Congress Champion in both Reining and Working Cow. With very limited showing he also has his APHA ROM in reining. "Doc" is now going to local roping events and ranch horse competitions. His first foals are just being started this year, but they are showing a lot of style and natural ability and should also stand out in performance classes in the future.
Our broodmares are mostly "own daughters and granddaughters" or have proven themselves with points earned or by producing winners. We are very particular about the conformation and disposition of these mares, in keeping with our goals of producing all around horses with superior minds. You can be assured you will find quality horses for sale here at our farm. Visitors and friends welcome, but life is busy, so it is best if you call ahead! 785-389-1881 or 785-282-5841
